Wrathletics
BRANDING
ABOUT
Wrathletics is an athletic wear brand fueled by rage. Founded by a man who believes masculinity is complex and that too many brands lean into the toxic parts of gym culture, Wrathletics exists to parody the whole thing into absurdity. Inspired by metal music and hardcore culture, it sits somewhere between athletic wear and streetwear, where the design and the culture matter as much as the clothes. Irreverent, aggressive, and genuinely funny, but never mean. Just angry. At something. At everything. At the system.
THE CHALLENGE
The brand needed to be instantly wearable, culturally credible, and land the joke without explaining it. That's a harder brief than it sounds. Too far one way and it reads as sincere toxic masculinity. Too far the other and it loses the edge that makes it interesting. The sweet spot was a brand that looked completely serious from a distance and absolutely unhinged up close.
THE SOLUTION
We drew inspiration from brands like Liquid Death, alt styling with professional execution, and built something that could hold the parody without winking too hard at the camera. The primary logo is nearly illegible, designed like a metal band logo, sitting alongside a suite of cleaner options for applications that need to actually be read. Black and pure red, shoved in your face. Taglines like "feel the wrath" and "fueled by rage" delivered completely straight faced.
The brand voice is a full parody of aggressive men's marketing, and it works because it's executed with total commitment. It looks dark. It feels hilarious.
